Was wondering if anyone knew who Sony got their memory from. I bought just 2gb since I can upgrade cheaper myself (well, that was the case last Friday, then on Saturday - the day AFTER my system ships - 3gb is the same price). Now I am shopping and thinking about just buying a 4gb set from G.Skill instead of mixing. I know for the most part that good RAM is good RAM regardless of the mfg'er, but a 4gb kit does not cost a whole lot more and I might actually move to 64-bit later if Sony's support picks up.

I think pretty much all current VAIO RAM are manufactured by Qimonda

Bingo! You are correct sir - there is a funky looking "Q" on the memory sticks.

Now - how is the G.Skill working for you?
