Hi!
I think my laptop uses to much memory at the startup and also it takes 2 minutes and 3 seconds at the startup. Here I posted some images from the task manager from the startup. What apps should i disable,or is this normal?
I have a Sony Vaio SVE1711V1EB with 6gb of ram, intel core i5 2450m and ati hd7750m 2gb vram.
-
It's normal for 5400rpm HDD to be that slow.
-
yes but 1.4 gb of ram just at startup ?
-
The more ram you have the more windows utilizes it. ~25% of total is fine.
If you want to reduce it, remove unneeded startup programs. -
Totally normal. 77 processes. If it were 1.6-2 then I would suggest to do a clean install.
-
I managed to get ~20% ram usage at the start-up . I disabled the following apps:
Utorrent,Adobe Reader and acrobat manager, adobe acrobat, adobe start-up utility,aimp3,bluetooth software x2(??) , bdregion, daemon tools lite, iastoreicon, isbutility, hamachi client, pmbvolumewatcher,Catalyst Control Center,Syanptics Pointing Device Driver(i never use the touchpad) and rainmeter. If i disabled something important please tell me. I also unistalled vaio care, but i kept vaio update.
I have also 3 questions :1. Can I use a more advanced vaio control center , i saw on some screens that they have cpu fan control and keyboard backlight on at night only.
2.Can I overclock my gpu?How?
3.Can I add an SSD and also keep the HDD? -
Sony® Firmware Extension Parser Device Driver
Sony® Shared Library
VAIO® Power Management Software
VAIO® Control Center Software
2. Only nvidia chips so far have the OC ability via BIOS. Surely you can use ATI afterburner for software based OC.
3. Yes, use ssd as main drive and replace optical drive with HDD bay (9.5mm)
Memory use
