Sorry if this was discussed already, couldn't find anything in my search.
Does anyone have an idea how fast Sony usually refresh their notebooks once there's a new processor out ?
For example, how long before they had a Duo Core in the FE ?
    Thanks.

The FE came out as a Core Duo machine. From what I've heard there are plans for most major models to move to the Merom this fall when it comes out. Sony's pretty good about moving their top end lines to the new chipsets when they become available.

Fall as in what month ? not really familiar with the US/Europe definition of Fall, seeing as here in Israel we have about 15 months of Summer each year ;)

Fall around the States is typically September-October so if they do what they usually do, there should be new models once the Core 2 Duo (Merom) chips are officially out.

    I see, Thanks.
I hope you're right, that's about the exact time I'm planning on pulling the trigger on a Vaio FE (or any other equivalent model they come up with).

I would always expect some kind of delay whether minor or major whenever a new major tech product is rolling out.
