    due to my problem with the vzfw.exe that i have posted on the other threads....my question is..does anyone actually use these sony vaio entertainment media thingies that the manufacture offer with your computer? ALSO, will it harm my computer if i just delete all sony media features? im very curious..any ever done this? let me know...im thinkin about doing it..becuzz i hate seeing all these prgorams i do not need under my "add n remove" option..ty for your time..Bye

    You will never harm your computer by uninstalling PROGRAMS you don't use. Go for it!

    Go ahead and remove it.

    I seem to be a rare one in the forums, most people hate the Vaio Zone software.

    I thought that the software (bloated as it is) is the very reason why VAIOs are so distinctively different even though they run on the same Windows XP software. (Okay, shoot me, I've been trying, quite unsuccessfully, to install the VAIO zone on all the different Fujitsu notebooks that I have. :) )

    It's like Windows XP - Media Center edition on steroids

    But, do remove it if you're not using it.
    If anything, it makes your computer faster and more stable.

    i have just started to use vaio media with my network media receiver (review coming soon) and find the software extremely unreliable and erratic. If you don't use it i would suggest deleting it.
