This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I was trying to find a thread for the minimum services required to run my SZ3, WinXP Pro. There are various threads about this. But is there a DEFINITIVE thread about this? I just wanna go to the Services section and start disabling things, but I don't know which ones to disable. Anyone know?

    do a search on digg. there was an article recently. some guy was very definitive then about a thousand people wrote in and said he was wrong. that may be the magic of windows... no one knows for sure
