Here's the deal: I have a SZ220 that I got as a settlement from the company I purchased my Z1RA from several years ago. Long story short, their service department could not fix the Z1RA right, and I got this. I like the SZ220, but I need XP Pro (not home) since I have a domain I join it to, and they didn't have any XP Pro models. I've tried the clean install instructions here and the ones on Sony's website, and I have NEVER gotten this notbook to run right. I've reloaded it twice. It doesn't perform very well, the Sony apps tend to crash, and it keeps hanging on shutdown (even though I've installed the MS patch that's supposed to fix it more than once). Anyway, what model is the same as the SZ220, but with XP Pro, and is there any way to make the restore disks for that model work on my SZ220 (either modify something on the Disk or flash the other model's BIOS to my 220)? I have a total of fifteen XP Pro licenses (5 volume licenses that I purchased when XP first came out and the 10 that came with my Action Pack Subscription), so the license isn't the problem. I'm just getting real frustrated and would like to have a shot at the thing actually working right. The Clean reload is such a pain to do, I'm hoping I can find another way to make it work.

    Thanks,
    Dave
