    Hi everyone,

I want to use Motherboard Monitor to see my CPU and Harddrive temperature. However, Motherboard Monitor doesn't have the SZ's motherboard (it's apparently some obscure Sony motherboard... even SiSoft Sandra has no idea what it is...).

I used to use SpeedFan, but I don't know if it detects all of the SZ's heat sensors properly.

    Anyone have any ideas ?

I dont know but SpeedFan works fine for me...You could use NHC (Notebook Hardware Control) google for it.

Its really popular and even allows for overclocking and tons of other features ;).

On some laptops speedfan works well, on some it is mobilemeter.
NHC is good anyway. I would only slightly correct aer0sense that
it is not used for overclocking but for undervolting (though undervolting can be also good for overclocking) and the number of features is not "tons" but
just some which are needed. :)
It depends on the sensors inside notebook which program will measure the temps correctly. On one of my notebooks NHC doesn't measure the processor temp correctly and I have to use speedfan for this.

NHC sees the CPU and HDD temp... thanks !

However, it's a little too big and heavy... I wanted something minimalistic, like CoolMon.

I'll give Speedfan a shot again.

Hm, the problem with SpeedFan is that it only lets you monitor one temperature at once unless you run two copies of it.

The thing is, if SpeedFan and NHC know what the temperatures are, couldn't I hypothetically find the IDs of the sensors and enter them into MBM ? I don't even know if MBM allows manual overriding, but I think it does...

Depending on the sensors your laptop has I was able to monitor up to 4 graphs
of different temps at once using speedfan (go to "Charts").

samurize can use speedfan's figures if you want to put all the temperatures on your desktop, taskbar etc.

I use NHC too, but I disable it during Start Up. It lags my computer.
