    Hi,

Last year I wanted to by a Sony NB and one guy from internet industry told me only girls choose that brand. I end up getting a MBA 11'.

Still, I'm wondering whether it's true that most Sony users are woman and why if so?

To my observation, there are indeed lots of women using Sony, but also other brand like ThinkPad...

    Who the hell cares?

Edit: if you're that obsessive about image, the MBA was probably the right choice :D

Wow, you're that sexist and insecure that you let some idiot talk you out of getting the laptop you wanted. You know, lots of women use MBAs - you better not go out in public with that thing.

I can smell a flamewar here...

I think the "average" consumer doesnt care that much about the specs and rather takes the laptops design into account when it comes to a purchase comparison. I think since both apple and sony do have a more appealing design than a lenovo or acer laptop, more consumers (including more women) chose them. What I do agree on is, that sony launches most of their consumer laptops also in pink design which of course targets barbie-fanatic chicks. If apple would do that with their mac's, I don't know wether this would be good or bad (sales and reputation-wise).

I think i'm going to close this thread as it's just going to result/has resulted in a flamewar and i cannot see it improving.
