Thanks to all the folks who've provided great information and the steps required to "upgrade" from Windows Vista Business to Windows XP Professional. It took me several hours and some of the drivers were a bit tricky, but when all is said and done, my TZ150 is much faster, more stable and gets longer battery life than when I was a Vista user.

I saved all of the Vista desktops to an external hard drive before I wiped it clean and added Yahoo Widgets afterward (ie Konfabulator) to keep the Vista look/feel, and man, it is working perfectly.

I also downloaded the Novatel EVDO driver from the Sony TZ Vista site and the Novatel desktop application from Sprint's website. Even the EVDO service starts and stops more quickly.

It is a great machine and I highly recommend everyone switch to XP with this laptop.

Just received the new large capacity battery. Can't wait for 7-9 hours of continuous battery life. Thanks again to all who helped make this a notebook worth keeping. Sony should really consider offering up the downgrade for this ultraportable. Considering how much we spent on it, AND the fact that Sony has the XP drivers available, it is the right thing to do.

Can you tell me exactly where you downloaded the EVDO driver and desktop application? I must have downloaded the wrong ones, I also did a XP install, the only thing not working is the WAN. Thanks

Downloaded the Vista WWAN driver from the Sony website for the TZ series. Then I downloaded the Sprint desktop software from Sprint's website for the Novatel ExpressCArds. Downloaded, installed, went through some OTA update and Boom, I was all set. Works like a charm!
