Hi All, I have recently carried out a clean install of vista and I'm having issues with the multimedia key's above the keyboard and the Fn keys.
The issues are :
- when I press any of the multi media key or the Fn keys, there is no display on the screen. Let me clearify, before I carried out a clean install when I pressed the volue key i heard a beep and was shown a small white volume bar on the screen. It was the same for the change display Fn key, before I would get on screen icons, now i don't
- when I press the 'av mode' button, nothing happens, same with S1.
I am wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and if so how was it resolved. It may have something to do with the order in which the drivers and components where installed.
Please, please, please couild someone help as this is driving me mad.
Thanks.

Two things. First a procedural issue. According to the rules you agreed to when you joined this site, you are not permitted to bump your own thread until at least 24 hours have passed.
Now to your REAL issue. ...grin...
How did you go about doing the clean install? Did you just install Vista and assume you were done? Take a look at my signature below and you will find a link to a thread which contains a complete guide on doing a clean install on an FZ190 (and other FZ models). In it you will find info about the drivers and auxiliary apps needed to complete a clean install and most important the SEQUENCE in which you must install these things.
If you have further questions about the clean install process, please ask them in the other thread so your questions and answers become part of that thread.

Thanks Gary. Didn't realise that I had to wait 24 hour before posting.
I did follow your guide, however didn't install the drivers in the order you setout. I'm guessing that after you completed the your clean install and installed the drivers, you didn't experience the issue im currently facing?
If you didn't then I guess I better do another clean install and follow your guide to a tee. -

I assume you didn't know about the 24 hour period. That is why I pointed it out before one of the mods did.
Let's take the rest of this discussion back to the Clean install thread. Post this same question there and I'll respond.
