So i just got my laptop about a month ago and i love it (it's a VGN-NS150D).
I use the Fn keys to lower and turn up the volume a lot and each time I do that, it makes a beep, at first it didn't bother me but now, I just want to mute that sound forever.
I've tried going into the mixer and muting VAIO Event Service, but it just un-mutes itself...
I have also went on google and look for an answer, i couldn't find any except for the VAIO Event Service one (i found that one here)

    Anyone have a solution?

    Thanks for reading

try to kill the right dll at your sony event service directory

its probably VESHardwareMixer.dll, but i'm not sure if my mind remembers well.

always kill (rename) only one dll at once and restart the sony event service - you should mind, when the audio beep is gone..

i looked in C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\VAIO Event Service
    and it isn't there

here's all the dll in the folder
    Code:
    VESHKWndCommon
    VESTransform
    VESPerform
    VESWndMsg
    VESStorageProtect
    VESAppMon
    VESPowerMgr
    VESAVModeButton
    VESSuEvent
    VESSuPerform
    VESVideo
    VESSemiPnP
    VESHybridGfx
    VESColorMgr
    VESUSBKeyboard
    VESUSBKeyboard
    VESUSBKeyboard
    VESColorMgr
but i have found a pi.wav when i opened it, it was the beep that annoyed me. so if i change that to a silent wav (no sound), do you think it will work?
