Does anyone know how to stop that initial startup noise whenver you open/turn on your VAIO? I have it for class, and if I take it out after the class has started, it really disrupts class, and everyone turns around and stares at me......... how can I mute this? It's not the windows startup, I can mute that, it's the actual VAIO startup screen itself.
Thanks..

hey there...to disable the VAIO animation sound u need to access the BIOS...when you turn on your VAIO for the first time keep pressing "F2" till it goes into the BIOS...then hit right to go to the "Advanced" tab up...scroll down to "Speaker Volume" (under "Show VAIO Animation Logo") and change that to "0" from woteva it was...now save changes and reboot and the sound should be muted...
