    My Computer?Windows explorer is not showing card reader and sd card reader

    Hi

    I performed a windows 7 clean install on my vaio (VPCEB11FX).After that i installed the drivers properly.In Device manager i am able to see the MMC card reader and SD reader with respective path letters.But in when i open my computer only dvd drive showing there.How to restore them Please help

    Do you have a card inserted? By default windows hides empty removeable media drives. To see them anyhow click organize, then folder and search options...then the "view" tab. You will see a checkbox for "hide empty drives in the computer folder". Uncheck it if you'd like to see your empty drives.

    Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Folder Options -> Show Hidden Files Folders and Drives

    otherwise they will not appear until you have inserted a card

    saying that some of the cards i used were not compatible with the Ricoh drivers installed and I was forced to change the Host Controller drivers to microsoft standard which fixed that issue. Although I suppose not as efficient.

    hah yea, I only scanned your comment and was already in reply mode before it registered in my head, as I have had lots of SD card problems with Z so was eager to add my 2cent. ;)
