As the title says, any1 else is having the same problem? I thought the Atheros card that came with it did work with N network, yet when I opened the smart wifi utility, there was no option for the N network(only b and g)

Can you go into the computer devices utility and see what card the drivers say is there?

I don't use Smart WiFi I just use the Windows utility. The card will connect to 2.4 GHz N networks...that's what I am currently using.

The card is Atheros AR928x. The driver is 7.6.0.83. Am I getting a different SR ? I just noticed that the sony support page does have VGNSR129E/B and VGNSR129E. Mine is the one without the B eventhough the box says E/B

I think the /B designation simply indicates the color of the system.

And yes, the Atheros is the same on mines. I don't have an n network to test it however...

now, it's not even connected to a G router. The only way I can connect to the internet is by using a wire. Also, do you know where I can find the driver for the atheros? I uninstalled it and couldn't find it.

    Thanks for the driver.

The problem was actually with the router itself. For some reasons, my router accepted 2 different passwords from 2 different notebooks. That was why I could not connect with my new sony using the supposedly correct password, but I could with my old hp. The sony could connect to the router using the old password that I had replaced a while ago. I decided to renew the password and now it's working perfectly with the same password for both notebooks(it's working on a 2.4ghz N router).

Thanks all for the input :D
