    My computer is not recognizing anything new. I was trying to install a printer and it kept giving me the "cannot add this hardware" error message. I thought it was just the software but then I started to realize it was with almost everything new. I uninstalled intel USB software to check if reinstalling the USB would help install the printer. When I restart the computer would try to reinstall USB drivers but fail, giving me the same error message "cannot add this hardware." So far I've seen this same error with my memory card adapter and even bluetooth driver. Whenever I try to install something I just uninstalled the computer cannot find the driver. Anyone have any idea? This has stumpted me for days.
    If it helps I recently updated my bios from the sony website. Could it be because of the new bios? I got most of my hardware drivers back with system restores, but this is really bugging me. Should I restore windows completely? :confused: :confused: :confused:

    Welp I think it's obvious but;

    If you only noticed this after updating the BIOS then I would revert to the old BIOS and reinstall XP to clean up the buggy programs.
