So I upgraded my SZ160P from XP Pro to Vista Business using the Sony upgrade DVD and everything works great except that "My Safe" is no longer functional. I think I need the file "mysafe.fdp" from the XP install...but I can't get a hold of that anymore.

Does anyone know how to get "My Safe" set back up after upgrading to Vista? Sony support is no help on this...surprise surprise.

    Thanks!
    Jeff

I think you find it in the options of the UPEC Fingerprint Software.
Or also, for me it appears from scratch if you rightklick on a folder. Ther should be 2 secure locks as a symbol.

They changed it in the software 5.6, I guess.

I think I've figured it out. It doesn't seem like Vista and UPEK Protector Suite 5.6 allows the original "My Safe" to operate like it used it. Originally in XP it acts like a folder in all ways. In Vista with PS 5.6 it becomes a .uea file (an encrypted archive). My SZ now has a "MySafe.uea" file in the documents folder. Eh, I guess I can live with it this way.
