This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    my vaio fz keeps locking and not going to sleep. how do i fix this?

    ex. i press the ON/OFF button (which is supposed to put it to sleep) but it locks the computer. this just started. my laptop is about 1 year old.

    Looks like some device or application is blocking windows to go to sleep mode. Did you make any changes recently?
