    Hello !

    I have a customized Sony Vaio S 15" (SVS151190X)

    For the last week, every time before I sleep, I hibernate it. I wait until it finishes hibernation successfully and turn off completely, then I go to sleep.

    I wake up and the laptop is on !

    What could be the reason?

    Do you have an Ethernet cable plugged in? It could be Wake on Lan... or otherwise:

    1. Mouse wake {Test by unplugging your mouse}
    2. Background App {Test by run MSCONFIG -> Diagnostic}
    3. Hardware {Preventing/Interrupting Sleep} - Sleep and hibernation: frequently asked questions

    Good luck

    1- No mouse connected
    2- It's already hibernated
    3- see #2 .... I wait until hibernation finishes successfully and all lights/LEDs are out

    Do you have an Ethernet cable plugged in? If you do unplug it and see if it continues to to happen...

    Control Panel->Power Options->Change Plan Settings->Change advanced power settings->Sleep->Allow wake timers: Make sure this is "disable" for both "on battery" and "plugged in"

    No ethernet also

    Funny thing, it was Enabled for Plugged in and Disabled for On Battery, yet it woke up while on battery.

    I disabled it for both. We'll see tonight what happens !
