WOW, Where did you say your address was again? LOL

I take it you travel most with the VAIO S660 & the Macbook.

I'm waiting for the first day of Christmas Shopping (day after thanksgiving) to get a Macbook :)

    NICE!! Yes do compare.

You ever tried to hook up to your LCD screen?

Haha, not all for me, for both me and my fiance. ;)

The HP is nice with the 17" screen and battery life is pretty good actually, nice for movies but its too big and bulky for travel. I mainly use it for movies on car trips because of the big screen.

My favorite would probably be my new SZ330, very fast with the T7200 memron processor and 2GB of RAM. Nice light weight and nicely design. This will probably be my main travel notebook.

I got the MacBook because my fiance is a student and she got a great deal on it with her student discount, we got it for 1049 + free printer and free 2gb nano ipod. I always had a soft spot for Mac's since my first computer ever was a Mac, plus OSX is a great operating system.

The S660 is used mainly by my fiance for school, she uses the S660 and Macbook the most, I think its actually better built then my SZ330. Battery life on it is fantastic!

Lastly the VAIO K25, lol nice 10lb brick of a computer. The screen actually looks the BEST out of all the laptops, Sony don't make screens like they use to because it has absolutely the best looking screen of any laptop I've used before. Its also my first Sony and its been dead reliable for 2 years running now.

Wouldn't that be bad if you had to return it right away incase it was defective?

The glue smell from the stickers is strong, I'm addicted to stickers now

Will the SZ fit into a neoprone bag that's supposed to be for the S series?

I think it should because they are pretty close in size, even thought the S is slightly smaller.
I really do think that the quality of the SZ took a hit from the S series. That was a very nice little notebook...

Thats a great collection you have there....I actually think I have that many notebooks laying around my house somewhere too. A pity that theyre all like 5 years old now.

the stickers things... I've *never* understood why people leave the stickers on for so long. I can understand "so I can return it", but some people leave them on until they turn white, no printing left on them, and just all nasty looking. Then they take them off, and because they've worn *around* the sticker, you can see where the sticker used to be!.... agrgh!

...they're ugly. I hate them. I didn't buy the unit to leave the advertising crap on them. If they wont nicely take an item back without the stickers, then I'll cram the unit up their.... um... return counter :)

It's like all those people that still have the advertising plates and stickers from their car dealer... why are you giving the dealer free advertising in a way that makes your car ugly?... as soon as my car rolled in the driveway, that freak'n sticker and advertising plate came off.

I'm with the guy that *has* to get the stickers off before turning on the lappy. It seems like it's putting the laptop into it's rightful state before asking it to do the dance... they certainly wont be on there for any length of time, and certainly not allowed to get old and nasty. I don't know how people can put up with it. Especially when how sexy a notebook is being a large part of the sales factor, they leave the stickers on!?... it's all so foreign to me :)

    The S series is "smaller"...

    S series - 12.3 x 1.39 x 8.85
    SZ series - 12.5 x 0.9 -1.3 x 9.3

...so, the S series is a 0.45 inches smaller in one dimension, and 0.2 in another. Not a world of difference really. :)

It's the 0.5lbs of weight that the SZ shed that I like.

    I'm a girl...but OK :)

The S series has a great form factor... I loved mine (but I now prefer my SZ in every aspect except the design).

    @thekm

The dimensions may not look that different on paper, but it is noticeably smaller side by side in the palmrest area...and the S is not wedge shaped, but flat...beautiful design.

I'm not sure how removing a loosely fixed advertising sticker would void my warranty. But I suppose weirder things have happened. Anyways, I stuck all the stickers to a box inside of the computer box, so I could put them back on if I absolutly had to.
