It seems that it 'dissapeared' or something.
I mean, i can still switch my wireless on but it cannot seem to detect the wireless network at all.

I went to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center
When I select 'Manage Network Connections'
    I seem to only see
    - Bluetooth Network Connection
    - Local Area Connection

There's supposed to be wireless one as well but i don't see it.
How can i get it back?

Need to use "SmartWi Connection Utility" to turn it on.

Unless you use WWAN, uninstall SmartWi. It's a steaming pile of technology that just doesn't work right. It doesn't handle multiple connections well, nor IPv6, nor bridging, nor ... So uninstall it.

You don't need SmartWi for WiFi on a Z. Open the device manager and make sure the device is listed as enabled there, and then check the same under network connectsions. Use Windows' built-in tools for managing the connection -- unlike SmartWi, they actually work.

well under network adapters, i have 3
    - Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
    - Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
    - Intel(R) 82567LM Gigabit Network Connection

but yeah, i still do not see any wireless anywhere.
Unless I really have to install SmartWi again >_<

No, you don't. Did you try "Scan for hardware changes", or looking for it under unknown devices (in which case you just need the drivers, which can be downloaded from Intel)?

hmmmmm there's no unidentified drivers there.
Also i tried 'add hardware' from control panel.
    It says;

The wizard did not find any new hardware on your computer

You could have the same problem as someone mentioned in another thread here -- the connector to the wifi hadn't been properly attached, and had worked itself loose. That would cause the device to not be discovered.

Anyhow, try booting a Linux boot CD or similar, and see whether the WiFi card is found then. If it is, the problem is likely software. If it isn't, it's likely hardware.

In that case, how do i attach it back?
    I think its hardware >_<
(I hope i dont have to dismantle the whole thing)

Did you find it under device manager? If so, delete it and reboot, let wimdows find it and install it. If you don't there is a loose connection.

Stalvros I'm experiencing exactly the same problem on a vgn-Z570N. No wireless adapter found even when in Linux (lspci). What was the solution to your vaio's problem?
