So I've had my laptop for about a year and a half and it already gave me grief by having the motherboard die on me literally days within the end of my warranty, thankfully I got that replaced for free. Sadly, the issue I'm dealing with now is driving me absolutely insane and doesn't even allow me to use my laptop to take notes in law school classes which is perhaps the most horrid part of it.

The noise from the fan is unbearable and is a clear indication of something being wrong.

Here are links to two recordings of the sounds my laptop fan makes in hopes it helps to diagnose the problem:

    I hate my laptop.wma

    I hate my laptop 2.wma

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Without having heard your sound files, I'd suggest to open the laptop, clean the fan from dust and things that could have come into it and add some grease to its bearings. If this doesn't help, you will probably have no choice other than to live with it or to get a replacement / repair.
