    Hi all,
Im working on an acpi module for the SZ2 (i have an SZ2-MB), for NHC ('Notebook Hardware Control' http://www.pbus-167.com/ )
This will allow to control the Fan . If i ever get it working right, that is.
Are there any programmers around , with an SZ, who would like to help me out ?? Im stuck with a few things...
(In short, I can control the fan-speed, but it gets reset very quickly by i dont-know-whom).

I would love to be able to control the thing , as i want. Set thresholds for different speeds, and avoid the up-and-down-whining it does atm.
Also, it runs a bit too cool now... :)

Would anyone be willing to help? I have zero experience with acpi. Well, had zero, untill a few days ago, but its still quite misterious...
    Thanks!

    Hi!
Yep,i stopped at least some of em. maybe i havent found em all, but i think it doesnt help anway.
As it looks, the fanspeed is controlled by some microprocessor...(this is according to the nhc developer).
The next version of nhc might offer a solution, i havent tested it yet tho (and it would be a bit hacky... (it offers much faster refresh-rates)).
Anyway, im currently thinking about returning my sz against a thinkpad x60s or t60, the offers are very good... :) (not only cause of the fan noise..more just cause ive been a thinkpad user since years and kinda cant let go ;) not sure yet tho )
