As all of you Vaio S series users, I also need to use the NHC to cool my notebook.
However, though I do not have an evidence to prove it, I have the sensation that it uses too much system resources.
Does anyone have an idea on this?

Interesting. I have an S560, and I remembered checking how much memory is used for the NHC from the taskbar. I don't remember the exact number, but it's pretty small to me. Besides, I think it's still worth it to use NHC albeit the whatever resource it used.
Update: I just checked my NHC from taskbar, it's using about 5-7MB memory. It's fluctuating, I think it went up to 11MB during fresh start up. I don't know what the cpu temperature without NHC is, but after gaming, it's still around 60C. -

Use 10.1 beta 03. It uses only 5MB and is faster than other versions.

Yup that's confirmed. 5MB isn't that much for the benefits that NHC brings.. can't really notice a general "slowing down" of the system when NHC is active either.
