Is there any "device" to output from the laptop to a TV (RCA "yellow or S-video) ??
    A) via USB / B) via VGA output / C) via 1394

Headphone Output for Audio (1/8" to RCA) is a no-brainer.

Two things I am thinking about is :
    1) using the laptop for music playback, and I can see PDF or Word Doc, or connected to the Net, showing the lyrics and guitar chords on the TV, and stay away from the laptop as guitar & other electronic = HUM from guitar
    2) PC Karaoke. There is a freeware called KARAFUN to play PC based karaoke files, like MIDI and KAR, but the Vaio can play CD+G discs no problem.

My son has a POS Acer laptop and it has a S-video ouput
Why they didn't think of that for a Vaio, baffles me.
