Hi, I have an AR series notebook and need an 8600M GT driver because I just upgraded to Windows 7. I cannot find any 64 bit drivers for it. Please help. Thanks :)

Is the 8600 the only GPU or does your laptop has a 2nd gpu?

If it is just one go to this page and download the latest driver

It has only one GPU. It's been a long time since I've messed with this stuff. I tried downloading a driver from there earlier, but it gave me some error upon installation. Do I need the modded inf file?

Sandlotje...we have a rule on these forums that threads should only be bumped every 24 hours. While we do get around to threads pretty quickly, sometimes it does take a while for an answer to show up.

BTW, nVidia has their own public page for drivers. You should be able to get the latest W7 driver for your notebook here:
