I can't get Sprint service in my area and am thinking about buying a Vaio Z590. Is there a way to use AT&T service broadband service instead of Sprint?

That would work but I would rather have a built in card if possible. I will keep that option in mind.

    Thanks for the reply.

Nope, not possible to change out the internal as far as I know - Sony only offers Sprint. Even if you could figure out how to do it, there's no spot for a SIM to insert. On all of my Sony laptops for the past few years I've used external (PCMCIA and now USB) for Cingular then AT&T with 3G. Best and easiest way to go.
