I play games but I'm not a hardcore gamer (no crysis and such)
I want my laptop to last at least 3 years.
Spec wise Asus is the best because of the GTX260M but I'm worried about the heat problem (and how this might affect the life span) and also the laptop cover (with blue gaming logo stuff, it might not look very professional)
I never had experience with Dell or Sony, so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of build quality, customer service
Any kind of info or opinion would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Just a little advice, be sure to select the Big battery "9 cell" in case you picked FW590.

I bought the FW590 with the same hardware except that I added a blu-ray player. I got a three year warranty, though. I disagree about the 9 cell. When I bought my FZ290 (VISTA) it came with a 30 day coupon and I hoped for the same with the FW, got the coupon and bought a second 6 cell. (I live in the US.) I could not be happier. I needed to have two notebooks thus no upgrade for the FZ290. I have yet to use customer service.

Out of those 3 options i would no doubt go with the Sony Vaio FW. I have read about heat problems with both the ASUS and the Dell XPS 16. From what I hear the FW does great with heat, the system gets warm at most.
I am too looking into an FW but I am waiting till January to pick one up (maybe a SR if they make a nice refresh). -
Thank you for fast replies
Also to clarify more
This laptop would be my moving desktop (since I'm not planning to have one)
That doesn't mean I want anything more than 16".
My screen size is set at 15"~16", because I think this satisfies my need for portability(17"+ is just too big for me)
and also good enough for my main purpose (computer programming. reason why I don't go for laptops with 1377*700 resolution laptops. It's just too small to have multiple windows open for coding)
I do game a bit (this is my only gadget to play game on since I don't own desktop or gaming consoles) what I meant by casual gaming is that I don't expect my new laptop to play everything on high resolution with high FPS.
I want something that will be able to play new games that comes out in next year or two at mid settings (is that impossible with the 3 I listed up there?) -

Also, this is a forum and people spend their time freely here . . . posting "help fast" is bad forum etiquette. It's like asking for extra icing when someone gives you a free cake.
Need Advice on deciding!
