    Hello!
I have read alot here, but this is my frist post. anyway, If you own a SZ know that the inside is very compact and tight. I opened it up to replace the 5400drive w/ a 7200, and when I took it out, the metal loop on the side of the drive (that a screw goes through to fasten to the chassis), cut through the ribbon cable that apparently powers my PCMCIA slot...

I tried a few laptop part places but the model is too new. No one has anything. Does anyone know where i can try? Are there any other parts from different models that could work?

Please let me know. i use it primariliy to run an audigy sounds card... i cant stand the onboard one !

    Thanks
    Johnathan

You might try Sony's parts department.
