Hi, I'm in the UK and need to get a VAIO SA with a US keyboard. Sony said it's not possible but presumably I can buy the part and fit it myself. Does anyone know where to get one and if there are instructions for changing out the keyboard anywhere?

    Cheers,
    Charlie.

So almost the same, enter key is different is size (higher) and thus the \ above the enter key is moved to the left side. As a result, the left shift is a bit smaller. Some other special characters are different but if you can type without looking at your keyboard, just set the UK one to US layout and type away. To change it just for the enter-key size seems a bit extreme.

Could you buy one from a US shop and import to the UK? Given the typical price-hike in the UK, that might work out cheaper that buying the part, which will probably cost a fortune (as well as invalidate your warranty).

The position of the backslash and quotes are also different. It's just a preference thing I guess. Does anyone know where in the US I can buy the part?

Remember to also purchase the keyboard deck as obviously the holes in your keyboard deck will be for the UK keyboard and not US. So you need both the keyboard and the keyboard deck.
