I bought a Sony Vaio vpcf111fx/b 17" laptop and I'm looking to protect it from scratches and dings. I'm not looking for a skin. I've been looking thru google but all I find are hard shells for Mac's. Does anybody know where I could go? Thanx.

I don't know many companies that make hard shells for PC notebooks, as their design changes too often or they go "end of life" too quick for 3rd party Manufacturers. The MacBook family has them, but their design really doesn't change much at all, except for every 2-2.5 years for a model refresh. Apple has a VERY predictable product cycle for their notebooks.

These are very nice - have one on my FW. Not sure if they have one ready made for the F series yet.

They are custom made to fit. Very durable so far - covers the keyboard area (less keys) and the cover.

Nice! I might have to order one of those! My Vaio P would really like this!
