Hi, I have the new sz650, and have performed a clean install. I seem to have trouble maintaining the drivers for my 2 video cards (X3100 intel, and the NVIDIA 8400GS). It seems that I cannot install both display drivers without them interfering. Let me explain:

I first load the laptop in stamina mode, unistall drivers i the device manager (under display adapters); reboot computer; and then proceed to installation of new drivers via the .exe file from the Intel website. However, it seems the removal of the drivers on the stamina side has affected the drivers of the Speed side, nd when I boot my computer in the speed size, the display adapter is no longer the 8400GS, but the standard VGA graphics adapter (I guess this is some default one). But if I proceed again to remove the drivers for this new VGA adapter, I will also remove those on the stamina side...

A seemingly simple answer is to just re-install the drivers of the 8400GS without removing the existing ones for the standard graphic adapters... unfortunately, I run into driver problems after (some conflicts in stamina side, like unable to adjust brightness).

How does one successfully go about this? Thanks

I dunno but maybe the Shared Video Library is necessary?

I'm not quite sure how to switch between drivers...the video seems working fine here...in the process of reinstalling and just installed the intel graphics drivers first, then the nvidia ones...no problems so far it seems...

see what happens when you try the Sony Video Shared Library?

Also I'm wondering, how do you know that both are correctly installed and both are in use?

I think I found the answer to my questions. I was running registry cleaners after the installation process, and this was the source for error; the program was removing what it believed was a remnant registry, but was actually a registry for my other graphic card driver. Anyways, I think I got both working perfect now, I just can't run the registry cleaner.

You can check the status and driver of the graphic card under the device manager, display adapter.
