I took my laptop apart to see why my finger scanner said it was unplugged. So i took apart everything but the motherboard. As i try to lift the motherboard, it wouldnt budge, after a few more lifts, i got scared that i would crack it and gave up. So i put everything back together, even reapplied by thermal paste. As i turn on my laptop, everything is fine except for the monitor. It wont light up. Help please!!

It might just be easier to sell it and buy a new one. I broke my S (not the new S , the pre SR series S) and the motherboard was like 400+$. I end up selling it for spares (for 400 actually) and was able to spend a little more on a new laptop (NW Vaio). You might find that it is money better spend, and I'm sure if you look around, the last series SR with the ATI 4570 (much much faster then what you currently have) will be reasonably priced (or you can get the new Y series).
