    Hi-
I'm a new member to the forum, but have been a frequent visitor. I actually bought this laptop from reading reviews on this site. The DVD/CD drive (Matsh*ta UJ-831Da) has been used very little but it won't write to CD now, and fails about 50% of the time to write to DVD. Net search came up with a Sony replacement for $250, I can buy a new laptop for $500! Where can I find a say NEC or 'good' drive to replace this combo drive? I believe it is a 'slim' drive?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Mitch
