Hi guys! I'm a new owner of a Sony Vaio VPCEB1S1E/BJ laptop. But ever since I got it I have had quite some problems connecting to my home wireless internet.
So here's how the story goes:
1. I purchase the laptop and surf on the internet there are no problems.
2. Suddenly the computer says that it cannot connect to my home wireless internet. It doesnt even show its name in the "Available connections tab" any longer? The strange part is that the computer only cant find my home wirelss connection - it has no trouble finding the neighbours?
3. Well I then try all the potential soloutions that I can think of. But nothing helps. I contact Sony Vaio support and a support technician tells me to try a few things, which I do, but again: Nothing helps!!!
4. When nothing helped he suggested that it then had to be a hardware issue and my laptop was sent to a repair center, where I got it back 2 weeks later and found out that they had changed the WLAN-card. Well I then try the computer and the internet works great - very fast and reliable.
5. I thought the problem was finally handled, but then suddently after 4-5 days the same problem happens. I turn on my computer and it cannot find my particular home wireless connection? I'm like !!!
So guys, what the hell is the problem in your opinion. It worked twice and stopped working twice? My router is brand new, 20 Mbit connection is what I have. I dont get it? I'm on the edge of returning the computer back for a refund, but despite this issue I like it alot so want to work it out if possible.
I suspect that it might be some software/hardware update that messes things up? Because how else do you explain that it works perfect one moment and then is ed up the next?
I appreciate any help! I know this is a lot of reading but the help really badly
Thx!

hmm... i suggest you must try to restart the router every time the problem occur.
This happened to my Belkin N1 Vision before firmware update.
