    New AR series for 2008?

    Does anyone know if the 17" AR notebook is being updated for 2008? What will be available in retail stores like circuitcity?

    I don't think any of us have any idea what is up Sony's sleeve.


    I do have a feeling they will replace all of their current models with completely new designs with the release of Montevina, regular models like the AR, FZ and NR will be replaced in June/July when Montevina comes out and smaller models like the UX, TZ and G will be in September, October when Montevina SFF comes out.

    I just got my FZ, so I am SURE they will have a new model out soon! ;)

    I would love to see them take a cure from Apple and make a 17" that looks like the FZ. I would have bought that in a heartbeat. The AR was really nice, but I hated the touchpad/mouse button locations.

    The current AR does suffer from an overly bulky design and poor touchpad set-up. Hopefully a new improved version is on the way. CC doesn't carry the old AR anymore so perhaps a new improved AR is in the offing?
