I bought a new standard battery (Battery 100% genuine and new) for my Z11 and it runs out of battery very quickly, like in 1 hour and a bit it needs to be charged again when it is suppose to last much longer with nothing but Word running, WiFi off brightness on 40% etc..
Am I suppose do something such as to let it reach 100% and then let it drain to 0% then charge it back up?

I have the Vaio battery care function on so it stops charging at 80%.

Why does it run out so quickly? What can I do?

    Specs: Z11: 4gb, 256gb ssd, i5, 1080p screen.

Install BatteryBar - that will give you the actual capacity of the battery, and how much (if any) wear the battery has. On my Z11, I'm still at 0% wear, with capacity at 59500mWh.

The easy answer is to get a defective replacement for this battery. If the new one has the same limited life, you need to lock to the task manager for power sucking tasks or to other potential electronic problems causing the power drain. How long did the battery you replaced run on a charge? The range you're getting on this new one is worse than you would get with only 50% of its original capacity remaining.
