Will the new fws still have ddr2 ram? any chance of ddr3? also will they ever release an actual replacement for the SZ? neither the Z or the SR are what an SZ was. The SR is not as good, and the Z is too small.

All FW, including upcoming FW 200 series, come with DDR2 RAM. You can't put DDR3 RAM in there because the pins are incompatible.

What are you rambling on about? What about the SZ is better than the Z or the SR for that matter? Second, no, the Z and SR are the successors to the SZ premium and SZ respectively. Also...unless you clarify what makes them not as good as the SZ, you just sound like your asking for a flame war, because you will have like 1000 Z and SR owners who previously owned SZ's disagreeing with you.

The Z is 13.3 inches...just like the SZ...so if you dont like its weight...or watever...please clairfy, otherwise your making useless statements.

In addition, most likely they are not going to replace the motherboards/chipsets on the new FW...just add some better components to it. The FW is a mid-range, laptop, a 1000 machine is unlikely to have DDR3... only the Z has it so far. Not even the higher end multimedia laptop, the "premium FW" if you will or the AW, which is much more powerful will only be arriving with the choice of 2-8gb of DDR2 800 mhz ram.

Any of these machines simply blows an SZ out of the water...so im not sure what youre looking for...

Why can't the FW use DDR3 ram. I thought all Centrino 2 laptops supported it?

Okay, so the RAM isn't going to be DDR3. What about the graphics card?
