The new FS port replicator is nice too. It has tv tuner, remote control, s-video, digital audio out. Too bad it won't work with existing FS. [ :(!]

That has the Japanese keyboard, they all have a larger Enter button.

You can cut and paste the Japanese text into a Web translator like Altavista.
    http://world.altavista.com/tr

On top of the page it said it only supports VGN-FS*1*. Note: previous models are VGN-FS*0*. And at the bottom it listed all previous models that are not supported (VGN-FS70B, FS50B, FS30B, FS20, FS90PS, FS90S).

Anyway, the port replicator connector looks to be at the same location, so maybe there is a way to make them work together.

Thank you for your guidance WiG. By the way, after an intensive research ;), I find out that the port replicator is supposed to be used for the Sony VAIO FS600, and yes, there is indeed FS600 product line out there. As a matter of fact, there are 3 different builts for the FS600 series, including FS640, FS660, and FS680. You can check them out there http://shop.ahinc.com/index.php/cPath/372_145_443/sort/3a/filter_id/87/page/5

The website also sells the port replicator which me and you have been discussing so far @ http://shop.ahinc.com/index.php/cPath/372_145_59/sort/3a/page/2

I can't see any difference about the fs500 and fs600 just by looking at the specs, they seem to be identical, and the fs500 seem to be even more expensive than fs600. I'm really interested in this port replicator thing. I do hope that it works for our FS500 laptop. If you have anymore information post it here man. I would love to here.

    Cheers guys,

You can use the FS500 port replicator (VGP-PRFS1). Less features though.

The reason that made me like that port replicator so much because it has tv tuner with a nice remote control. It's such a pity that FS550 doesn't have S-video out. I know there is USB TV Tuner but that would be my very last option though.

Same here. FS has no TV output, so I was happy to see this new port replicator until I found out that it doesn't support my FS. Well, hopefully when it's out, someone can test it with older FS.
