    Hello!

I'm from Estonia and i've had this laptop for a month now. I realised it's not polite to hijack someone else's thread so i created my own.

In total i have 3 major problems that i have tried to solve since day 1 and one that came recently.

    1. Backlit

When this problem begun: Since beginning

Problem: It's always activated when i type in darker rooms. Sometimes it turns itself on/off with 10 second timing even when i don't touch it but watch a movie.

    Expectation: Permanently turn off

What i've done: Turn it off in the control center View attachment 89940

    Result: Problem still exists.

    2. Fan

When this problem begun: Since beginning

Problem: It's really loud on idle. My old acer used to be this loud on full load when i played Gta 4 on it.
Seriously feels like a lown mower when i play on it. Also the spin is not smooth, it's like out of balance.

    Expectation: Silence

What i've done: Change thermal paste (reduced temps a bit)

    Result: Same as before

I'm thinking it could be defective fan.

    3. Sound

When this problem begun: Right after BIOS update from R0080C8 to R0081C8.

Problem: No sound at all even when i plug in headphones or sound system.

    Excpectation: Sound

What have i done: Uninstall driver from Device Manager-> Reinstall Realtek drivers
    sound.jpg

    Result: Still no sound.

    4. HDD caddy

    When problem begun: Since beginning

Problem: Whenever i connect anything else than original ODD caddy CPU usage is unusually high. odd weird.png I took picture on it's lows, it rose after a while to 35-40% CPU usage and stayed at that for aslong computer was on.

Also, I could hear HDD spin up in ODD caddy after booting but it never detected it under explorer.

Excpectation: Not affecting CPU usage, usable HDD.

What have i done: checked that connectors are tight and not loose.

    Result: Same as before.

Additional Information: Device manager Device manag.png

Installed all drivers for win8: Sony : SVS13A2C5E updates | Download updates for SVS13A2C5E
in addition couple drivers from win7 model ( Shared library + parser device + few more)

No viruses or malware is present (eset/malwarebytes/emsisoft)

All i want is a functional computer that i can work with.
