    Hello all,

Conned...I mean convinced my wife to get me a SZ-330P/B for Xmas so I'm pretty excited and looking forward to using it come Monday. Just some quick questions...

Specs as you know are Intel Core 2 Duo 7200 (2.0ghz), 2GB DDR2 RAM, Nvidia 7400 Go 128 TurboCache.

    1. What type of games are PLAYABLE on this thing? I haven't owned a laptop in YEARS (since my company provides me with one - usually with integrated graphics) so I have no clue what games can be played on the VAIO SZ? Any ideas?

    2. What graphics drivers work with the GeForce Go 7400 - is it the regular ForceWare drivers because I see separate drivers on Nvidia's site for the GO 7 series but only lists the 7800/7900 versions.

    3. I've read that the fingerprint reader software doesn't work with Firefox 2.0, any idea if there's a way to get this working through a tweak/patch or anything?

That's all I can think of for now. Thanks in advance.

The only game I've played on my SZ is Halflife 2 --- and it works like a dream. :)

    1. I have and play Battlefield 2142, COD, and Madden all without problems; I have the SZ260P/C, so you should be better off.
    2. Go to Laptopvideo2go.com to get all your Nvidia Drivers, as Nvidia does not update for laptops frequently.
3.The fingerprint is an issue because of tab browsing. In IE7 it works fine even when the sensor notification does not show, once you register the page just swipe and it will work in any tabs, you don't need to have the notification pop up to tell you.

I play world of warcraft on my sz360.
And I can even play it in stamina mode to keep heat down.

So are you saying that fingerprint sensor/Protector Suite QL will work fine with Firefox 2.0 although it doesn't say it will?

When people are posting that games run well what resolutions/detail are you running the games at?

i.e. When you say Wow is good at 40-60fps - is that at 1200x800 with Max details?

Right now I'm thinking of installing HL2/CS and perhaps the new Guild Wars game?

I ran both of those (The original Guild Wars, that is, not Nightfall) on my old desktop with a Geforce 2. A Geforce 7400 should run them without a problem
