wow, I wonder if it will be an All-in-one or another notebook.

The E series sounds good, but no idea about things such as build quality, weights, size...

The E series is going to come out around april. Not much is known on stone yet, but it looks like a higher range NW. So basically, the new range of NWs are all low range, and the E will be aimed at people who performance. From the stats you will have a choice of either an ATI 5470 or a 5650, both should be quite fast.

Where did you get the April date from? I've heard rumors that it was likely to come out in a few weeks.

The E sounds like something for me to think about. Especially if it comes out in a few weeks like badtzwang said.

That would be interesting, but from what I've been told, it seems it will be announced march or april shelf date. I hope you are right, because I might yet cancel my CW order....

Also the X series and the P didn't get refreshed in CES, so I am expecting soon an update. I never heard of the E series...any link? How many inches will the screen be?
This M seems nice, I think will be a All-in-one.

If the E series will be like the nw, but with better specs, i'm definitly interested. Sony has no decent 15 inch notebook so far. I also hope the screen will be better than the one nw has. I'm kinda surpised they will ati 5 series, even the F series don't have those...

Whatever the outcome, i'm sure there's no harm in waiting a bit longer to purchase a new laptop, more specs for less money ^^

Edit: I found this link about new sony E and M series..its about projectors..not laptops >.<

Maybe the M series will replace the AW?

I dunno, from some posts it seems the NW is being discontinued. If that's the case, I'd expect the E series (if the NW's successor) would target the same price point, not aim for high-end. Given the stale specs of the NW, I think that can be done.

Yeha I would say it is the AW. Also it isn't an E, becuase if you look at the image it has a nvidia logo (and the E series has an ATI card).
