I noticed all the commotion about this new sony laptop and was wondering who was going to buy it or consider it?
Please don't say the keyboard and color are from mac because sony came with the idea before and there are other colors.

This is my second or third choice if I can't get the Dell M1330. Having no graphics card is a major turnoff though I like the macbook-ish look.

Yeah i got a great price on this laptop
Best buy was having a sale on it from July 7-14
The original price was around 1400$
But they dropped it down to 1199$

I wouldn't hesitate to get one if it had a graphics card. I'm sort of considering whether or not i should get an indigo one without a graphics card or settling for a vaio fz with one. I love how the CR looks though.

My old computer that i had for 7 years was getting groggy and virused
and i decided heck enough with the desktops im getting myself a new laptop
hopefully they will make new graphics card for this laptop because i ordered an indigo colored one 5 days ago

I'm considering the white one; I just love white in a laptop, i was looking at the Asus W7S (white) too, but... it was more of a business laptop, and it's harder to find, i mean... i want to buy the laptop where i can see it, and take it with me. Anyway, i'm just waiting a couple of weeks, to see if the VAIO CZ are released, and have more options. But if it's not, i'm going for the white CR.

hey my old dell died too and I was looking into the CR or FZ (w/o blu ray) few quick questions...i missed the sell b/c i was being indecisive last week. do you think it'll go down again in the next few weeks for back to school? Or should I just buy the FZ since that's on sale instead this week for $1299? Also, any reason why you chose the CR over FZ aside from sale price and color?

any help is much appreciated :)

Well, the CR has the new processor compontent Santa Rosa everybodys been talking aout and I dont think the FZ has that, although it has the blue ray. If the FZ is going down on a sale i suggest you get it. I would prefereably get the Cr in my opinion. Oh by the way, sony is having a back to school sale where you can sale up to 300$ on like every notbook or something.

The FZ is santa rosa too. i want the white CR but its on back order and not on sale :( the FZ they have configured has a bigger but slower HD and i keep reading about it making weird noises. CR seems to have better customer feedback so far but i dunno if i should wait for it!

Yes, I've seen them at both of those stores - and CompUSA. I went for the same reason you mentioned, and they're very much as described in the NotebookReview.com analysis.

You can find the Fz at costco on sale with all the other things. And yes sorry about the misleading information about no Santa Rosa on the FZ. I would get whatever is on sale.
