    New Sony Fseries 500GB HDD(7200rpm) or 256GB SSD?

    I ask for suggestions in choice between 500GB HDD(7200rpm) or 256GB SSD?

    256GB SSD (even 128GB) is my big wish although my budget is not enough. :D

    You will get some advantages with SSD such as: very fast boot time, high file reading/writing speed, anti-shock and a bit lighter than HDD.

    If cost no bar, then go for the SSD. But here in the US, it is an additional $650 for the SSD, which makes it a pricey addition.

    SSD is highly overrated in my opinion. The performance difference is definitely noticeable, but not worth over $500. I don't see SSDs going mainstream until the point where you will need to purchase another laptop. And when that happens, there will be better technology available, and SSD prices will drop significantly.
