    Do you like the new Hinge? Does the fact that it's silver no matter what color your laptop is, bother you?

    It did matter to me.. I am not very fond of the the silverish look.. so I might be biased

    The "Hinge" is the spine that connects the Screen with the rest of the laptop right?

    I think someone mentioned, painted metal might scratch, such that black paint can flake or scrape off to reveal shiny metal underneath. So, silver is okay, but if it matched durably with the rest of the case, I might prefer that instead.

    I don't mind a silver hinge if the body is purple!!! I am still waiting for Sony to release a violet purple Z like the TZ 505 Limited Edition. Then, I can finally retire my PCG-Z505JS...

    if they powder coat it then you can shoot it and the paint won't even come off :)

    I wonder if there's any paint you can use that would be good to color it? Spray paint? Car paint? That would be awesome if CTO models were color customized (even for 50 bucks... that would be so cool to have an infinite array of colors to mix and match..much like how nike.com has color customizable shoes)
