I performed nearly the identical test, also with backlight at 75% (though with a long timeout, such that it never turned off). I spent most of the time on BBSes like this one, with a lot of reading. Elapsed time until Hibernate: 5 hours, 3 minutes. I'm not going to take the time to repeat this with my extended battery! ;)

    Cheers!

    Hi, Folks!

Once again, a Core i5-540, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD, in Stamina/Balanced power mode with a standard battery, this time playing movies. In this case, AVC is playing back ripped DVDs over WiFi from my home fileserver. The file format is exactly that of the DVD - no transcoding had been done on the content. Brightness is set at 75% throughout.

Playback started with about 1/2 hour using the internal speakers (higher power consumption), then continued with Line Out from there on. Total elapsed time was about 3 hours, 25 minutes.

    Cheers!
