I lose about 5~10% of my battery life in a 12 hour period after shutting down my computer and unplugging it from the wall. Anyone else experiencing something similar? No one else has brought it up for this new Z so I was wondering if I'm just a minority (granted the laptop is new and not many people have it yet).

I know this "feature" plagues the more recent lineup of Sony laptops, but if its not a problem with the new Z, I might have a defective machine (or perhaps a machine with the older defective parts) so I'd like to know so that I can go return/exchange my machine.

It's been brought up before... generally the comments are it's unchanged from the previous Z. I think a number I'm remembering specifically was 7% in 12 hours.

When I got my laptop the battery was already attached and was at 70%.

My power lost from 44% to 40% in one hour. It consists of shut down and turn on actions
And only lost 1% in two hours by using sleep
Is the start up process suck that much of power?

Will the battery drain occur if u were to store the battery separately from the laptop?
    thanks
