This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Running Windows Vista RC1 there were these two Windows updates in the last couple of days :
    Sony Corporation driver update for Sony Programmable I/O Control Device
    Sony Corporation driver update for Sony Notebook Control Device

    I wonder what the "Sony Notebook Control Device" is.

    From memory their both part of the requirments to run the Function key stuff like volume, sceen brightness, that kind of stuff.
