Just got my new computer on ebay. Every time the computer hibernates or is turned off, the time stops. When I turn on the computer again the time continues from where it was at when I turned it off. This is becoming rather frustrating and I think it's the CMOS battery. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Also, when I go into the bios the time doesn't move (I think it's supposed to move). Any info on replacing the CMOS battery is appreciated.

Hmmm...I also own the TX750 but I have never had this problem. I don't know much about laptop hardware so I really can't help. Try going to Best Buy and asking the geek squad if they can help.

I already know that the problem lies within the motherboard battery. I've tried to open the TX750 but it's sealed in the center. If anyone has any instructions on how to open please let me know. =) Thanks.

I experienced the same problem with my SZ. Sometimes time will even go back when the laptop is on and plugged in to AC. I will try to update/reinstall BIOS and/or change the MBoard battery over weekend before thanksgiving,...if unlucky, I'll have to do a clean install :( .

BIOS does not show time moving on mine either. If anyone has any sugestions besides the ones I have mentioned, please advise.

    Thanks!
