I just got mines in two days ago. So far, IMO Vista kinda sux. After leaning it down and taking away alot of the bells & whistles it runs better. Far from perfect, the machine runs a tad slower than my 15 and the hard drive activity is constantly active. CPU activity is quite active just doing minor tasks. I have had a fair amount of software compatibility issues as well. Serious crashes at least twice today, to the point I used system restore to go backwards. This is a machine with basically OFFICE 2007 and some minor apps. I upgraded this from a TXN15 that ran beautifully for 8 months. Slight regret, thinking about reverting back to XP, which I think would give me a great machine. Dunno if the restore discs from the 15 will work or not though. have not made the effort to get them yet. Guess we'll what happens..... The only thing I noticed that worked better was the Sprint WAN software :)

Well, optimistically. Things can only get better :) Vista has a bit of a learning curve to it.

    Cheers

Got a 2.0, things are running a little better after tweaking. But feels like I am running a beta machine. my Ipevo skype phone crashes the whole OS just by plugging it in. VLC does not work, plays Audio only. Bottom line machine ran much better in XP. Did everything you needed it too. Hopefully some updates in the future will fix this. The OS does have a nicer look to it though, but that's about far as I can go in praising it.
