Hi Frnds!! Im new proud user of this wonderful forum!! This is my first thread.

Im owning Sony VGN-NR485-E laptop which has vista installed by default. Now I want to remove vista and install XP on my laptop. I have copied all the releted XP Drivers for this model from sony support web site. Now problem is that I ran XP bootable Cd it has formatted the C drive now after booting it is coming into error by saying that " cannot find hard disk and press F3 to exit.

I did some research on google and one guy suggested that to change sata from bios and make it ACHI.. but in Bios I cant see where to make this change??

PLease help what to do?????? how to install XP??

If you download nLite and slipstream the SATA drivers for your laptop into a new homemade install disc, you will be fine.

This question has already been covered, more than once, in detail in other threads in this forum. Your first stop here should always be the "Search this forum" drop down box, many times you will be able to find an answer immediately. In this case look for "XP slipstream" without the quotes of course.
